Kaanapali,. Sept 27. Community minded Ka’ala Buenconsejo was the only male running for public office on Maui who joined several hundred men this morning to Walk a Mile in Her Shoes to benefit Women Helping Women and their campaign to offer shelter to domestic violence victims and promote fair treatment of women.  Although many women were there to support the guys, Ka’ala’s female opponent did not show up, a typical response to her involvement in the community..
