- ICE SCULPTURE
KAPALUA, MAY 11 When you lose an $800 Nikon camera in a cab, you think twice about buying another. You use an IPAD which takes perfectly good pics in daylight that even reproduce well in full color in my Lahaina News columns, {Photos at night tend to be a bit psychodelic and even beautiful.
The psychedelic is a concept the name of which is derived from the Ancient Greek words psychē (ψυχή, “soul”) and dēloun (δηλοῦν, “to make visible, to reveal”), translating to “mind-revealing, ” according to Wikipedia
And so we begin coverage of teh wonderful 23rd Celebration of the Arts put on by cultural advisor Clifford Na’ole and his great Ritz team by showcasing the performers including Eric Guiliom who turned in a superb performance. And this ends 14 hours of photographing with the IPAD, which fortunately did not run of juice. KEEP SCROLLING DOWN.
