CELEBRATING MOTHERS DAY ON MAUI




KAANAPALI, MY 10–Some 1300 visitors and locals flocked to the Kaanapali Beach Hotel for a huge brunch, a record number.

They saw some of the State of Hawaii’s best hula dancers, Merrie Monarch winners and the award winning Kumu hulaKumu Hula Nāpua Greig , in a long, memorable show  VOICES OF MAUI TALK STORY, LLC, publisher of  the forthcoming book “Voices of Aloha Beyond the Beach” featuring profiles of a dozen na kumu, singers and dancers.





Where did 1300 go to celebrate Mothers Day and why is this such a big deal?

Kaanapali, May 10–HAPPY MOTHERS DAY FROM JOYS OF KAANAPALI The ohana, or family, is a 365 day thing in Hawaii that springs from the culture. Mothers are the core of the ohana, and that’s why Mothers Day is a much bigger deal here than on the Mainland, a long-time resident noted.
