Ka’anapali, Lahaina, Hawaii Dec. 31–When traveling to Maui, you think of majestic beaches, the deep blue ocean, azure skies, lush rain forests, and flowering plumeria. What you don’t often think of are the beautiful people, beautiful in appearance and beautiful in spirit. Meet them below in the annual Joys of Kaanapali wahine recap (with some guys too). See the well coiffed, the colorfully dressed, the well endowed, the indifferently endowed, the multi-tattooed, the locally well-known and not so well-known, the residences and visitors to the greatest place on earth.

WHICH OF 18 BEAUTIFUL WOMEN WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THAT THE BLOGGER HAD HIS PICTURE TAKEN WITH THIS YEAR. WHY, WHE
Lahaina, Dec. 29–Highlights of the Year; Two reasons for “Norm’s women”… The first is that he is often pictured with his beautiful wife this year and for the past 44 years. See below. The second reason ( photo gallery two below) is when you see a beautiful woman wearing an amazing colorful outfit or in an interesting environment, if you are a serious photographer, you ask to take her picture. As often as not, someone nearby will then volunteer, “you get in the photo too” which never seems for some reason to be a problem. In case you haven’t notice, America’s new favorite hobby is phone photography, whether its a selfie (I don’t know ow to spell it, a boring posed shot, or something more interesting. The most beautiful of them all: the first one.

Wailuku, Dec. 23. Thanks in part to the missionaries, you bet they do, here at the Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce Christmas celebration in 2012. Both Hawaiians and those of us not fortunate to have been born Hawaiian but who appreciate the culture are members of this island-wide group. From the Voices of Maui Talk Story archives, posted from magnificent Chicago. The blogger would rather in Maui though.
