Lahaina, June 22–:From Kamehameha to Kaanapali” will be the topic of a photo talk Tuesday at 7.a.m qt the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise meeting at Pioneer Inn by author Norm Bezane, you blogger featuring some … photos taken over 40 years.
The Lahaina News columnist, introducing his new book, Voices of Aloha Beyond the Beach will quickly sketch four centuries of history and then focus on change in Kaanapali and the remarkable people of aloha who have made Maui, Maui.
Visitors are welcome. Entrance fee is $10, which includes an excellent breakfast among the items Eggs Benedict with mahi. Meeting will conclude at 8 a.m. sharp. Info 667-0589

FLOWERS OF ALOHA FOR CHARLESTON VICTIMS
For the victims of gun violence in South Carolina, their loved ones and the nation. Pray for them yes, as many have said.
But pray for courage of our Congress to have the buts to enact meaningful gun control. The NRA may try to defeat you. But 300 million Americans will support you. Not this be another episode where we stay this has to sop and then do nothing. And then forget. Hawaii mourns for the victims

LAHAINA, MAY 29–Say you are eating a delicious slice at the new Pi Artisan Pizzeria in Lahaina on the site of the former David Paul’s restaurant. You look out on the ocean and pause mid bite and make this photo and then return for another piece; This blog does not normally show sunsets believing they are somewhat of a cliché, but these two figures silhouetted by the sun made the early evening just a little more interesting.
