The Eyes Have It: WARNING: THESE PHOTOS MAY BE DISTURBING TO THE SENSITIVE

When of Pittsburg sat at the Tiki Bar outside the new luau at the  Kaanapali Beach Hotel he was apparently hungry. The persistent Mr asked officials if he could sample one of the luau delicacies. ss is a fan of some character who likes to feast on exotic things. And so returned to the bar with a small plate holding the eyes of the luau roasted pig. No salt and pepper was handy so quaffed them without seasoning. And his wife duly recorded as he popped one eye after another into his mouth. Afterwards, finishing these pupus (Hawaiian ord oeuvres, Farley reported the delicacies whetted his appetite so the two marched off down the beach path in search of a restaurant.

The blogger was not offered a sample but alas would have declined. And so Mr Farley has the honor will go down in my personal as the most bizarre things seen at the Tiki Bar along with the famous nut man that Dale and I join in peels of laughter every once in a while.

A rider expresses sentiment of all

AUG. 1–Most photographers thought the last day of the historic sugar cane train on tracks that once hauled sugar cane from fields to mill was about the train. This photographer/blogger thought it was about the people..the little kieki on there first and last ride, the grandparents bring their grand klds and the old timers young at heart who used to ride the train in younger days. LEILANI’S BIRTHDAY POPULAR WITH THE LADIES

TS Restaurants welcomed dozens and dozens of patrons and friends to its annual birthday bash Friday. The party seemed to attract more women than men as caught by the camera. Maybe also another example of how there are many more eligible women on Maui than men. Couples though showed up too.

Here’s what a lucky bachelor party guy did along Kaanapali Beach, Maui, Hawaii

He managed to go through a good part of his list  marked on his striped shirt, challenges to the women at this popular venue. Thanks to the blogger who got the thing rolling. Creative idea well worth seeing in action.  And of course a grand departure and salute to the cheering crowd as they left for other venues to complete the list. VOICES OF MAUI TALK STORY, LLC, publisher of  “Voices of Maui: Natives and Newcomers, “Maui for Millions”and “Voices of Aloha” posts daily fun photos here to celebrate his love of Kaanapali.
